Natural Remedies for Psoriasis

Due to the many emails I have received from people suffering with psoriasis,  I decided to add this topic to our website. If the information below helps any of you suffering with this condition, please email us and let us know so we can post it here for others to see.

Our family has been lucky enough not to have had to deal with psoriasis, so we have not been able to personally experiment with this condition. However, we do know of one man who says he was able to get rid of his psoriasis by using flaxseed oil. He said he took two tablespoons fresh refrigerated flaxseed oil daily. He also applied this directly to the affected areas. After about a month, his psoriasis was almost completely gone. This is not surprising since flaxseed oil has anti-inflammatory properties.

People with psoriasis should eat lots of cold water fish (one or two servings daily). All fish is good, but mackerel, salmon, sardines, and herring are higher in omega 3 oils, which is what you need to fight off psoriasis. Avoid fish oil capsules since they degrade into toxins that can aggravate psoriasis.

Another good way to treat psoriasis is applying aloe gel, andiroba oil, or copaiba oil to the areas. This will relieve inflammation. Milk thistle, (120 mg 3 times a day) is a good herb to take for psoriasis and can reduced the frequency of outbreaks. Milk thistle can cause some diariah in some people. People who have psoriasis should also eat lots of fiber, and less beef and eggs. Beef and eggs tend to aggravate psoriasis since these foods can cause inflammation. It is also recommended that people with psoriasis take a complete vitamin b supplement. Please let us know if this information has helped you, or you can post your findings in our forum.
